Customs Freight Simplified Procedure
This concession is only granted by HM Customs to freight forwarders who, over the years, have proved that their customs entries are of a constantly high level of accuracy.
Customs Freight Simplified Procedure allows for full load containers to be customs cleared as soon as the vessel arrives.
This can save vital time for urgent or 'just in time' shipments.
The importer must have their own customs deferment account which allows importers to pay customs duty and VAT on the 15th day of the following month.
